Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16 (NIV)

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Genesis 1:1-2 (NIV)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 (NIV)

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died an atoning and vicarious death on the cross, was buried, rose the third day, ascended to Heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father, is the Head of the Church, and will return again in power and glory.

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. John 8:12 (NIV)

So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me. The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him. John 8:28-29 (NIV)

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Matthew 28:18 (NIV)

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Revelation 22:13 (NIV)

We believe repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation for lost and sinful men.

Jesus answered, “I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 (NIV)

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit who enables the Christian to live a godly life by His indwelling.

But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness, because I am going to the Father, whether you can see me no longer; and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned. John 16:7-11 (NIV)

We believe in the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.

“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.” Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.” John 5:23-24
